Unable to download (some) files
#1
It seems to be at random that I'm unable to finish downloading a file. It starts to download, gets to a random point, and then just stops and it only happens with this site. Eventually Chrome gives me that it was a network error. I've done basic troubleshooting, like clearing cookies, resetting Chrome to the default settings and using different browsers. If anyone knows if there is a fix for this, it would be appreciated

it seems to be a problem on the site's download server itself..
the problem only occur when you're trying to download big mod that have >50MB in size right?

No, the biggest file I tried to download was around 20MBs. You're probably right though, its just a server error.

The only solution I found was to download the file to your cellphone or tablet and then transfer it to the pc

Hi!

Sorry if i break the forums rules, just logged in today to say that i found a way to fix this issue ( was looking through the forums, found no answer, thought i try something that somehow worked ). I had problems with these files ( Checked in Firefox, then Edge):

https://modworkshop.net/mod/28524

https://modworkshop.net/mod/24006

When i checked in Edge it showed that the download speed went down at one point from 500 to 0. After a while the browser cancelled and said the download failed.

To solve i did the following in Firefox:

-Start download
-Wait untill the bars stops ( AKA the above 500->0 speed drop)
-Pause download
-Resume

Never paused download before, thought i could download the file "in chunks" avoiding the drop in speed. Instead the download restarted from zero, but withouth major slowdown or pauses, and it finished.

Hope this helps!

If you aren't sure about our rules, just read here https://modworkshop.net/rules. That being said, no rule was broken.

Also this issue is probably specific to you/few people as in my situation it downloads fine (and I'm quite far from the server)
